It’s been a long while, but I’m glad to finally be back to share not only new designs, but also a new name, brand, and design chapter.
In 2022, Max and I started Honeybee Design together. It was the culmination of our quarantine-era hobbies and newfound interest in 3D printing, exploring the possibilities of blending design and engineering. Together, we introduced the Linden, Acacia, and Tupelo lamps (read more about Our Story).
The experience was incredible. However, life got busy, and our passion project slowly slipped away as we juggled full-time jobs, moved to a new city, and faced the challenges of running a small business. Though we both still had that creative spark, it was time to take a break.
Now, in 2024, after moving to Seattle, I'm excited to breathe new life into what we built. I'll always be grateful to Max and cherish the memories of creating something together. But now, I'm thrilled to make this venture my own and fully embrace the creative experience. And with this new chapter comes a new name: Honeyfloh, and two new lamp designs: Gourd and Pagoda.
Honeyfloh embodies everything that Honeybee was: “a creative outlet, the byproduct of the things I call myself: engineer, designer, and artist, a belief that everyday things can be thought about and redone in new and exciting ways, that something as simple as light can be both a work of art and an avenue for innovation.” If for nothing else, Honeyfloh is a place to create things I find beautiful and humbly share it with the world. Thanks for coming along on my journey!
